IC INFORMATION
Character's Name: Soubi Agatsuma
Age: twenty-one
Canon: LOVELESS
Canon Point: chapter 105 [prior to Beloved facing off Moonless]
Species: human
Gender: male, inside and out
Orientation: bisexual; it has been referenced earlier on in the series that he has had many female 'friends' and has had shown some infatuation with a few males during the course of the series.

History:
Prior to the series's beginning, both of Soubi's parents died for unknown reasons when he was a child. Soubi would be enrolled in Seven Moons Academy, a school for Fighters, where he met a man by the name of Ritsu Minami. Ritsu happened to know Soubi's mother and was once the Sacrifice to her Fighter (please see abilities below for proper details on Fighter/Sacrifice relationships.) With Soubi resembling his mother, Ritsu took interest in the child and would begin to raise the child.

Soubi would grow to be dependent on Ritsu rather strict teachings and the possibility of being physically abused by the older man. Ritsu also took the young boy's ears for the sake of making Soubi a 'better' Fighter. (With being born into the universe of Loveless, cat-like ears and tails are features that virgins have. Once the person has sex, the person will lose the ears and tail and would become an 'adult.' However, it has yet to be explained as to what particular sexual actions cause one to lose their ears.)

During the time of attending Seven Moons Academy, it was discovered that Soubi was a 'blank Fighter.' A Fighter and Sacrifice team was made by both partners sharing a name and supposedly a destiny, the shared name meaning to show up on their bodies. However, in Soubi's case, Soubi did not have his own name. For such reasons, Ritsu would introduce a seventeen year old Soubi to Seimei Aoyagi. The younger boy, Seimei, had the true name of Beloved and took on Soubi to be his own Fighter. Seimei would use a knife to carve his own name, Beloved, into the skin of Soubi's neck.

A few years would pass and the team featuring Seimei and Soubi supposedly became well known for Soubi's skills in battle and Seimei's unsettling personality. Soubi would do things as told, even outside fighting, if instructed by Seimei. Seven Moons, an organisation that can only be found beyond the Seven Moons Academy, would soon step in to murder Seimei Aoyagi. It left twenty year old Soubi with an order of finding Seimei's younger brother, Ritsuka Aoyagi, and would begin the series.

After meeting twelve year old Ritsuka, Soubi would give the child little to no explanation on the matters of Seimei. Soubi simply functioned on Seimei's orders of being Ritsuka's Fighter with Ritsuka's own name being Beloved. However, with Ritsuka being left on the dark in the matter of battles, Soubi would take it upon himself to fight on his own against two people teams who did not approve of Soubi being the Fighter of someone who did not share the same name as himself.

The relationship with Ritsuka only remained strained with Ritsuka discovering that Soubi was merely acting on Seimei's orders and over the matter that Soubi would choose to lie to Ritsuka. Soubi would refuse to rely on Ritsuka as well, opting to turn to his friend Kio if there was any trouble concering himself. It would be after Soubi fought and defeated a team of two Zeros, Youji Sagan and Natsuo Sagan, that he would have a few more people to rely on and go around using Ritsuka as any sort of of lifeline.

After some gameplay in a video game called Wisdom Resurrection, a member of Seven Moons would reveal that Seimei Aoyagi was actually alive. Being unaware of the truth, Soubi would deny the allegation for Ritsuka's sake and his own. However, Soubi would soon confront an individual who was spying on Ritsuka's household. The invidiual made a phone call and Soubi would only hear for himself that Seimei happened to be alive. After being shocked, possibly frightened, Soubi would keep the knowledge to himself and away from Ritsuka.

Shortly after, a trip to the Seven Moons Academy was made. It would be there where Soubi would meet with Ritsu Minami. Conversation, however, was somewhat brief with Soubi not being too interested in what the older man had to say. Soubi would leave Ritsu once he heard Ritsuka calling for him and would throw them into a battle against Beloved's true Fighter, Nisei Akame. After Soubi and Ritsuka defeated Nisei, matters only continued to grow tense with facing Seimei Aoyagi. Despite Soubi telling Ritsuka not to listen to anything Seimei had to say, Soubi would help Seimei escape the academy.

During the night spent at the academy, Kio Kaidou was kidnapped and used as leverage for the sake of Seimei getting Nisei returned. After having lost to Soubi and Ritsuka, Nisei had been taken captive after being somewhat injured. The exchange would be made and Kio would be safely returned to Soubi and Nisei to Seimei before Soubi would go back to his own home. It would be shortly after the return before Soubi would leave once again and would take Ritsuka along.

Soubi would show Ritsuka the graves of his parents with Seimei making another appearance. The graveyard turned out to be a meeting place for Seimei and Soubi, resulting in Soubi leaving Ritsuka there on his own and Soubi giving into the orders of Beloved's Sacrifice and seemingly turning his back on Loveless.

Appearance: one could consider him 'attractive' ; the name Beloved exposed

Personality:

Typically a being an indifferent individual, Soubi opts to keep distance between him and other people. Interaction with people seems to be somewhat troublesome to him especially when it comes to people that are not like him or could be defined as weak. Ritsuka Aoyagi's teacher, Hitomi Shinonome, falls under the category of people he does not like and has only treated her poorly and going so far to make her cry with his words. For a while, he only has Kio Kaidou as his friend as Soubi is interested in the tattoo that the other has and ignored Kio's attempts to interact with him prior. Soubi deems Kio annoying and yet he has come to truly care for the other.

With the progression of the series, he has began to show some improvement in interaction. He has shown some signs of friendliness towards Yuiko Hawatari, Ritsuka's school friend, and has willingly comforted her. There is also the fact he has been allowing Youji Sagan and Natsuo Sagan stay in his home as they had nowhere to go (even though Youji purposely fought against rules) and cooks for them. His openness may be due to spending time with Ritsuka, the boy being a bit more generous than himself.

Ritsu Minami's teachings have brought Soubi to hide his emotions with ease. Soubi's expressions and words are normally cold as well as condescending. Hitomi has been a subject to being treated in such a manner, Soubi having addressed her as a childish old woman. He fully expects to be treated as an object as he was raised in this manner and merely acts on the terms of being a 'good' person (with the matter of behaving in a calm manner) instead of being bitter. Unfortunately, physical abuse has been used to keep Soubi disciplined and has resulted in Soubi finding some sort of relief in pain. Soubi yearns to be at someone's mercy, acting as their slave, wanting to follow orders. When with Ritsuka, Soubi makes suggestions of punishing him whenever he fails to please Ritsuka or fails to follow orders.

When Seimei Aoyagi is concerned, Soubi begins to panic. It has been seen in the case when he discovers Seimei is alive; he only rushes to Seimei's little brother and begs that they go some place far away. He is aware that he is only going to obey Seimei as he fails to conjure up a will of his own. With Seimei's words being intimidating and powerful, causing even the unfeeling Youji Sagan to get frantic when such were bothering him, it is implied that Seimei is not a normal sacrifice and may be a possible reason why Soubi feels he cannot disobey him. It has been said more than once that Soubi deems Seimei's words as absolute and that Seimei himself is God.

This leads to another conflict of his loyalty and feelings over Ritsuka Aoyagi. Initially, he is not too impressed by the boy and merely acts on on Seimei's orders to follow Ritsuka but he grows true feelings for Ritsuka. Seimei's words govern over Ritsuka's despite Soubi saying he will obey Ritsuka. It is a general problem, however, in which he does not follow Ritsuka's orders despite Soubi himself begging to be told to things. Soubi attempts to keep things hidden from Ritsuka as to avoid getting him too deeply involved with battle or from having the child see Soubi in a terrible light. It merely causes disagreements as Ritsuka wants to be aware of the truth.

The man has a strange dislike for butterflies despite finding them beautiful. Earlier on in the manga, he explains he hates them because they are beautiful and that more people are interested in the butterfly than the original caterpillar. He feels butterflies get captured too easily which allows people to use them for close study. At the same time, he happens to include butterflies in what he wears (when his ears had been pierced, the earrings he wore were butterflies.) There is a possibility that Soubi relates to a butterfly with feeling easily stuck in his life situation and why butterflies reoccur in his clothing and even his art.

Abilites:

He is currently attending university to study Japanese art and it has been acknowledged that he is talented in painting particularly when he is frustrated. Soubi appears to only paint while he is physically at school.

Soubi is a Fighter who has acted along the Sacrifices of Beloved and Loveless. He has been acknowledged as a rather strong Fighter but some comments from other teams may conclude that he has been stronger while fighting for Beloved as he shared the name as the Sacrifice. His strength as a Fighter may be credited to Ritsu Minami for training him with harsh technique.

[concerning Fighter and Sacrifice]
- There are two partners, one Fighter and one Sacrifice, who share the same name. The bond is decided before birth and is only formed after the two meet. It is considered taboo if the two fight while not sharing the same name and may result in the team being weak.
- The Fighter (also called a Sentouki) works as the offensive side of the team, using words to make attacks on the opposite team and to protect their own Sacrifice.
- The Sacrifice (somes referred to as Gisei) is the partner who takes the hits of the opposing team and gives commands to the Fighter.
- A Fighter is able to battle without their Sacrifice but the Fighter has to take the blows during battle. It is seen as bad on the Sacrifice's part for letting their Fighter to take on fights on their own.
- If the Sacrifice dies while the Fighter lives, it is seen as a disgrace and regarded that the Fighter was unable to protect the Sacrifice properly.

Other:
- his birthday is on the twenty-eighth of September
- he never wants children
- his favourite pastime is smoking and he is so kind enough to leave cigarette butts on the ground

SAMPLES
First Person:
[He has his phone needlessly pressed to his ear for a few minutes, talking to absolutely no one at all.]

You'll get soaked if you don't take an umbrella.

[He pauses for a moment.]

Not that I care.

[He pulls the phone back to look at it. After a moment of possible hesitation, he decides to make use of it. There is something irritating about it all but he soon gets the camera to work. He can be speaking to anyone, which did not sit right with him, but he desires to go home.]

It doesn't matter who you are, I won't be too concerned about that. I only want--

[But he pauses once again. This will not work out the way he wants. He closes his phone his phone with that.]

Third Person:
It no longer smells of cats, was his first thought.

For a good moment, it was his only thought. His eyes remained closed before it occurred to him that he was not hearing much of anything. Not that he cared, initially, but things were not of room temperature. Something was in his hand. He would grip onto it as soon as his eyes fluttered open. Things were clearly not what he recalled them to be, being along the lines of too Western. There was no screen door to his right nor was there a ceiling that he was looking at prior to falling asleep. Nothing was familiar nor was it amusing. He resisted gritting his teeth in favour of slowly getting up from the chair he had found himself in.

No explanation had been offered but that would not be a concern. Some situations were easier to escape than others. He looked at what he had in his hand; something else he was not knowing of. Of course he knew what keys were but they were not his own. The ring of keys he had were too neatly designed compared to the set he normally carried. How useless they had to be.

He would busy himself with bringing a hand down to his front right pocket to feel for his own keys. Nothing. His brow furrowed, hand moving to the other front pocket and then to the back ones. No keys, no cigarettes, no wallet. There was mind to laugh about it but things were continuing to fail at being funny. He would not allow himself to get worked up over it, either. The man had two legs and he was able to walk. Things were not completely helpless; he still had his phone, after all.

There was no sign of how he managed to get to such a place but he would not be lingering. Questioning was pointless with no one around but what had he done? Words were not the cause of him being there. The phone would be pulled out of his pocket and the keys would be dropped on the lawn chair as the phone was flipped open. The contacts on his phone would be open only to find it empty of the names he knew. Numbers were suddenly important things to be remembered and yet he knew none.
